The whole concept for the site was first and foremost a poster. I know I stated before I didn’t want to separate the header, cheap soma online, body, Cheapest soma in the world, and footer up. The Artwork

The artwork will also have a hint of retro futurism. Working Draft 1.1

As you will see below I have continued modifying the working draft. Kansas KS Kans., I polished up the page and graphics strengthening the retro futurism concept. Generic soma, The strongest element is the motif of the parallelogram which I cleaned up around the page.

The idea of using a handwritten font has been in my back pocket the whole time and I didn’t forget about it. This time when I looked for a handwriting font I found one in FG Delaney, köpa soma online. I placed it around the page and decided to bring in “notes” to clarify some navigation buttons. Once the artwork was finished and placed the messaging didn’t work anymore. We decided to scrap “making the web work for you” and use the website is like a shark line. We liked how this was playing, but we had a discussion on whether to bring the shark theme into the content or just leave it as the home page message. I thought it was best to leave the shark as the home page message and not theme the content to carry the shark message through all the pages. I didn’t think we wanted to be known as the shark web company, plus I want to have a different piece of art on each page, generic soma. So the thought now is to theme the message at the top of the pages to compliment the artwork and be different for each page. The content will be left unthemed.

With this version we are getting very close to my vision for the eClick 2010 website.

Composition 3.7

Composition 3.7 = Working Draft 1.0

So what you see below is what I consider the first working draft of the new site design. From here I will create and place the artwork. It is finally time to start drawing, buy soma from canada. I explained it to her like this, a painter needs to build and stretch the canvas before he can paint on it. Through the rest of this month I will be working on the artwork and fine tuning the design and content. The goal is to hand this off to the front-end developer by the first week of September.

A month ago when I started this project the first thing I did was to think about the site structure, what the navigation would be and what pages there were going to be. I wanted to try and find a way to reduce the amount of pages and if possible segment what we do into three main categories, cheap soma overnight delivery. There is on-site optimization for the search engines, and there is off-site optimization for the traffic. Now I needed to work on the tag line for the home page and other utility pages. I needed something to start with so I could stare at it and figure out what to change. eClick was moving away from the old slogan “get more from your site” and moving toward something to do with the website working, or working as hard as you do. Work was the key word I was going to focus on, cheapest soma. I wrote out the sentence that was being tossed around the office, Delaware DE Del., “Does your site work as hard as you do?” at the top of the home page composition and started to stare at it. If you consider the last part of that sentence, “as hard as you do” it conveys to the audience that they are working hard or should be working hard and that their site should be working just as hard. A wanted a statement like, “Have it your way.” And I knew it needed to be just a few words long. So I knew I wanted to eliminate the question format and the concept of the client working hard. What you see below took several hours one night of me just staring at the tag line on screen with the great History Channel mini-series “The Universe” playing in my second monitor for background noise. The Mission

The best part about the new slogan is that is follows and caps off every thought.

Since it is a sentence fragment it feels like it is the end of a thought. Purchase soma online, Next to the logo it implies the first part of the thought is eClick Performance, and the second is that eClick makes the web work for me. Also there is a double meaning in work. The site can be anthropomorphically working, as in physically doing a job, but it also implies the opposite of broken. Is your site broken, we can fix it and make it work. When you find a double meaning as good and relevant as that one, it’s a keeper, cheapest soma.

This slogan paired with the three main categories became a very simple and effective mission statement for the company.

The style sheet also had a change to it. The lime green has been removed as one of the company colors, farmacia soma baratos. The first thing that dawned on me was that the parallelograms I was using on the side and top of the logo were the original graphical elements and I should consider using that as the sites graphic motif, soma online cheap. I started to put the parallelograms around the page. I added them next to headers and started to place them up at the top for the utility navigation, buy soma bars. Cheapest soma in the world, I was re-shaping them and playing with opacity and color.

Version 3 was feeling good, but it wasn’t quite there. The lime green color I was using in the style guide as one of the company colors was too close to the new green being used in the color coding, so I decided to ditch the lime green. Now the home and utility pages will use the dark gray from the style guide at the top next to the logo. That change effected the top utility navigation as well. Osta alennus soma, We also decided to move the client area from the footer and make a tab for it. That freed up one of the spots in the footer to use for something else. One thing we have tossed around was a “start your project” call to action where a user could download our client questionnaire or give us a call. This will be on all pages and follow that pages content, so every page ends by asking you to start your project.

So the “2010” tab got moved down to the bottom where it does make more sense, and the client area tab replaced it up at the top. Both these tabs are going to be fixed to the right side of the site no matter what size your resolution is, osta alennus soma.

Looking over the composition I noticed something wasn’t quite right. When I turned back on the grid I saw that I had broken it in a few places which made the page unbalanced. I moved the logo and navigation over to the left and nudged the top navigation back and forth until it sat right in the grid. It appeared the body had some adjustments it needed, but I figured I would leave that until I replace the Lorem Ipsum with the actual copy.

Adding the copy to the pages was next, so I could make adjustments to the body and get a sense of how the new copy will be laid out. I think it's important to place and work with the actual copy because inevitably it will effect the page differently than Lorem Ipsum. I wasn't sure exactly what I might do with the copy, how I might play with the layout of it, next week I should have all the copy placed in the six main pages as I get closer to a final composition.

Paper or Plastic

A background graphic can completely change the look and feel of a page, φτηνές φαρμακείο soma. Design Squared

The first area I started with was the navigation. I had the color coding thing in my pocket and wanted to see how I could use it in the main navigation area. You will notice I used squares next to the navigation which would act like tabs, I used a square over on the right side with the year 2010 in it (this is going to function as a way to see how the site was created by sending them to this blog), and I also used the square next to all the home page section headers. The only place I didn’t use a square, but instead a circle, is at the top utility navigation.

Gray be Gone

After that I added more color to the gray areas of the page and played with opacity since I know we are going to be taking advantage of CSS3. There is now RGBA which will let you control the opacity of any HEX color used such as background colors, borders, and text. You will also notice I did draw a dark gray line down the left side of the page, price of soma. This is just me trying to make those mistakes as fast as I can. Another thing that was still being used in these first roughs is the old logo, or at least it is being treated like the old logo. You will see it change to the refreshed version in the compositions to come.

Type Casting

The logo has now been changed and I started to play with fonts again. Price of soma, I won’t go into what font this is because it was only used for a short time. Again this is me playing around tweaking this and tweaking that. Through these first rough compositions where I am figuring out the graphical elements I am also changing the fonts and the way the type looks. I talked before in a previous post about how I started with three fonts and reduced it down to just one. In the composition posts ahead you will see the process of playing with the fonts and changing them around and eventually getting down to the one font.

Do Over

I was going to post about graphics today, but because of a lot of changes happening to the layout it might be confusing, cheap soma without prescription. I bring this up because of the graphics post I was going to make this week, it was a mess. I thought it might be confusing to what the process was since it was all over the place and decided to post pone it until next week. Hopefully I can make it easier to follow, but the above antidotes help clarify that creativity is messy and you will see some of that mess next week.
