The contrast with the sans-serif font you're using on the rest. I like the shark graphic, but I'm not wild about the background for it; I think the shadow under it is bothering me. These are nit-picky details, however; all in all, the design is really growing on me. I have spent a lot of this process feeling like I needed this sold to me before I was entirely onboard, and seeing these comps, I'm really getting the feel for it all. It's interesting sitting with this for a while since some things have been growing on me. I like the little added "shadows" to the links on the top, it makes it clearer that they are actually links. Ditto for the "fan us" and "follow us" scribbles. I love the "fold" scribble :) At first I was worried that the hand-drawn font look would come across as unprofessional, but I think it works with the look of the site as a whole. The shark, of course, is the bomb. He can be the top of my food chain any day.
