Retro Futurism Buy cialis, As I was getting ready to start the artwork for the site I opened the working draft and gave it a once over. I realized it still needed polishing up and was going to save that for a future post, Cialis farmacia a buon mercato, but instead went ahead and started to finalize the design.

The whole concept for the site was first and foremost a poster. I know I stated before I didn’t want to separate the header, acquistare a buon mercato cialis, body, Maine ME Me. , and footer up. To define their area subtly, so the user had visual clues as to where the content area ended and the footer began was fine, αγοράσετε cialis έκπτωση, as long as it played into the poster concept. I figured the best way to accomplish this was to add folds, buy cialis. Bestill cialis online, There will now be a fold after the header area, and after the body area to designate the three main areas of the page. The best part is that on a laptop with the standard resolution, order cialis pills, depending on the amount of toolbars you have installed, Cialis prescription, the fold is literally the fold in the poster. I thought that was clever and even decided to label it.

The second concept I was going for was retro futurism, comprar cialis de descuento. Buy cialis, The first thing I tossed out to the 2010 team way back in June was steam punk, which by its nature is retro futurism. That was the idea going into the design, Utah UT , but as the process moved forward I realized steam punk would force the brand in a different direction than I wanted. I didn’t want to do that. Instead I moved to a general retro futurism, Rabatt kaufen cialis, which the brand could easily be expressed in. Order cialis online, In one of our team meetings someone mentioned they felt some of the elements were 80’s looking. I found that interesting because the elements they were talking about in my mind were 1939, buy cialis. So I guess I did a good job of bringing in a feeling of a retro design that would convey 1940-1990. At least this is what I want to accomplish, cialis pills.

The Artwork

The artwork will also have a hint of retro futurism. Wisconsin WI Wis. , Initially I figured I would use hand drawn graphite illustrations for the page art, but now that I see the page nearing completion the artwork needed to be crisp and clean. Buy cialis, I was also worried about turning hand drawn illustrations into PNG’s for the web, I know it can be done, but I wasn’t sure I wanted to give myself that headache. The biggest perk to drawing vector illustrations is that I can reproduce the artwork by printing it in any size for any media, buy cheap cialis online, we can even make T-shirts with the art if we want. Purchase cialis, Since the line about how a website is like a shark stood out to everyone the first piece of art was to do a tin toy wind up shark. The concept being our clients websites are the shark and we keep them wound up and moving forward. The shark was fun to make and gave inspiration into whether I make all the pages’ artwork be objects that are wind up tin toys, cialis online kaufen. That is still up in the air, but that would give all the art a common thread, buy cialis. I will be working on the rest of the art for the next couple months, Billig kaufen cialis, which will overlap into the building of the site. I won’t be posting anymore of the art, so you will have to check out the new site when it is launched in January 2010 to see the finished product, cialis for sale.

Working Draft 1.1

As you will see below I have continued modifying the working draft. Köpa cialis, I polished up the page and graphics strengthening the retro futurism concept. Buy cialis, The strongest element is the motif of the parallelogram which I cleaned up around the page.

The idea of using a handwritten font has been in my back pocket the whole time and I didn’t forget about it. This time when I looked for a handwriting font I found one in FG Delaney, goedkope cialis apotheek. I placed it around the page and decided to bring in “notes” to clarify some navigation buttons. Price of cialis, There was talk I was too abstract with the main navigation and I appreciate that. I didn’t want mystery meat navigation so I added notes below the tabs explaining what the pages are, buy cialis. Now I am using two fonts in this design, Titillium and FG Delaney, halvalla cialis apteekki. I have already run some tests using @font-face to see the readability of Titillium as the font for the body copy. Buy generic cialis, I wasn’t totally pleased with how the size I wanted to use looked, so I may decrease the font size or stick with an Arial, but that will be decided in the build, cialis online stores. Since bringing this font into the page design it was natural to change the word performance to the handwritten font to match the main navigation. Buy cialis, Below you will see version 3 of the 2010 style guide. Once the artwork was finished and placed the messaging didn’t work anymore. We decided to scrap “making the web work for you” and use the website is like a shark line. We liked how this was playing, but we had a discussion on whether to bring the shark theme into the content or just leave it as the home page message. I thought it was best to leave the shark as the home page message and not theme the content to carry the shark message through all the pages. I didn’t think we wanted to be known as the shark web company, plus I want to have a different piece of art on each page, buy cialis. So the thought now is to theme the message at the top of the pages to compliment the artwork and be different for each page. The content will be left unthemed.

With this version we are getting very close to my vision for the eClick 2010 website.

Hmm, curiouser and curiouser as we go down the rabbit hole. It’s interesting sitting with this for a while since some things have been growing on me. I like the little added “shadows” to the links on the top, it makes it clearer that they are actually links. Ditto for the “fan us” and “follow us” scribbles. I love the “fold” scribble :) At first I was worried that the hand-drawn font look would come across as unprofessional, but I think it works with the look of the site as a whole.

The shark, of course, is the bomb. He can be the top of my food chain any day.

The one element that seems out of place to me in this latest version is the little gradient shadow thingys going down the left side of the “blocks” below the fold. Maybe they’ll grow on me, but they seem to take away from the actual content.

I do like the hand-written font. The contrast with the sans-serif font you’re using on the rest. I like the shark graphic, but I’m not wild about the background for it; I think the shadow under it is bothering me. These are nit-picky details, however; all in all, the design is really growing on me. I have spent a lot of this process feeling like I needed this sold to me before I was entirely onboard, and seeing these comps, I’m really getting the feel for it all. I’m looking forward to seeing the site . . .
