The first area I started with was the navigation. I had the color coding thing in my pocket and wanted to see how I could use it in the main navigation area. Gray be Gone
After that I added more color to the gray areas of the page and played with opacity since I know we are going to be taking advantage of CSS3. There is now RGBA which will let you control the opacity of any HEX color used such as background colors, borders, and text. You will also notice I did draw a dark gray line down the left side of the page, buy cialis no prescription. This is just me trying to make those mistakes as fast as I can. Type Casting

Through these first rough compositions where I am figuring out the graphical elements I am also changing the fonts and the way the type looks. Good stuff John. I’m actually a little surprised that you’re playing around with paper textures, since you’re usually so adamant about the web being the web and print being print, and never the twain shall meet. Aren’t you mixing the two mediums there, at least conceptually?
On another topic, you mention the opacity function new to CSS3. I don’t fully understand the big deal – wouldn’t it be the same as specifying a slightly less saturated color? Does it function the same? It’d be nice if you could post an example or two of it being used on other sites. Fly designer, fly!
