Style Guide Ordering soma without prescription, When I first started at eClick there was only one designated company color, which is a dark steel blue. The web site at that time was using an electric lime green as an accent color. Order soma bars, I liked it and started to incorporate it into all the design I did for eClick. I was seeing that type of light green all over the place. It was a very popular color in ads, order soma from canada, commercials, Buy soma online, and I even saw it a lot in web design at that time. When I created the style guide for the company I decided to add a color to the company brand and brought in the lime green with the dark steel blue, ordering soma without prescription.

Now we had two official eClick colors. Below you can see the style guide I made for eClick back in 2007, acheter soma. We have been using this style guide for the past two years. Iowa IA, Besides the dark steel blue and lime green I found two other colors that were shades of the company colors. Ordering soma without prescription, Putting the two blues together or the two greens I had monochromatic contrast I could use in the site design and collateral. You will see these other two colors in the current web site.

The 2010 style guide shows the revised logo I discussed in a previous post along with the new font used for the company name, Minnesota MN Minn.. I scrapped the darker green and blue for a new set of colors. Soma online kopen, One of the new colors is a dark gray; it is used in the logo and can be sort of considered the third company color. It will be the body copy on the web site and would be the informational text on a business card for instance, ordering soma without prescription. The other three colors are the Red, Green, Missouri MO Mo., and Blue eClick is now going to use to break up its three main areas of service. παραγγείλετε online soma, The design and development will be Red. The on-site and off-site optimization will be Green. The analytics and managed services will be Blue, Køb billige soma. Ordering soma without prescription, It of course plays off the RGB world of pixels and displays, even though it’s overdone, I believe here on the new site it will be done right.

Color Coding

I love to use color coding in my designs because it improves usability. Soma kopen, One place it works really well is in navigation. You see it a lot on web sites as a way to define what area of the site you are in. This works extremely well on large sites with tons of categories, New Hampshire NH N.H., such as shopping sites, Kansas KS Kans., to designate the men’s clothes from the woman’s clothes for example. Even though our new site will be small and has very few sections the color coding still has its function, ordering soma without prescription. Signaling a change of section is great for usability, much like a newspaper may have its “lifestyle”, comprare soma sconto, “sports”, Pharmacie soma bon marché, and “metro” sections header titles treated with different colors to give the reader a visual signal when flipping through.

I intended to use color coding in the new site design, so I initially started with red, kjøpe soma, green, Cheap soma from canada, and blue, the obligatory three colors for screen media. They were the three little dots that converged and disappeared when you turned off the old tube televisions and they are the three colors that make up all modern day displays, purchase soma online, therefore web sites. Buy cheap soma online, What red, green, and blue to use, order soma online legally. Ordering soma without prescription, The company colors already have a green and blue. I tried out a red with the current lime green and dark steel blue. Soma farmacia a buon mercato, I knew even before I tried this it wasn’t going to work because the red, green, and blue sections were supposed to be unique from the rest of the site and since the lime green and dark steel blue are used all throughout the site they couldn’t also represent those specific sections independently, Acheter en ligne soma. The red seemed special somehow or out of place. Soma without a prescription, I needed to find a different green and blue to partner with the red.

A great place to look for colors is color lovers, ordering soma without prescription. I use color lovers now and again to see trends and get inspiration. I used color lovers this time to find a red, Køb discount soma, green, Comprar en línea soma, and blue that matched the lime green and dark steel blue we are already using in the design, but also be different enough to stand out. I found a palette that has a distinct red, green, and blue that don’t clash or compete with the company green and blue and are loud enough to demand attention visually.

Just for the sake of trying it out I tried eliminating the color coding from the design. Ordering soma without prescription, This was an option we talked about. Having the three sections color coded separates them into their own unique areas, therefore making them mutual exclusive from each other. Having no color code and just using the company colors gave the areas a bundled feel and tied them together as a complete package. I know marketing wise we wanted to portray all these services go together and get clients to use us for all three main services, but I believe my approach of cutting everything down into smaller chunks and then even smaller chunks is easier to digest for the audience. Below you will see how the pages all blend without the color coding.

Color in the Lines

As you see in the above layouts I wanted to use the colors sparingly; I didn’t want to saturate the page with color, ordering soma without prescription. The color is supposed to mean something. I had an idea early on that I was going to use the color in the stripes of the logo area to call out what section you are on and that was going to be the big splash of color at the top of the pages. Other than the titles and headers being colored everything else would be dark gray, so the color really pops. I may add color to pieces of text I want to call attention to, but for the most part I am trying to be judicial with the use of color on these pages.

Since no other design has been added, such as a background image, art, or photography, you can get a sense of how the color will play on each of the pages. Just like I did with the gray-scale layouts keeping everything gray to balance contrast, here I am doing the same thing, but for the color. I don’t want to be bothered with background textures or art until I am happy with how color is being used throughout the site.

Thanks for the site; I hadn’t seen colourlovers before. Going to bookmark it now!

Are you planning to justify performance in the logo, or leave it slightly tabbed over? It looks to my eye like it is giving extra emphasis to click, rather than treating eclick like one word.
As usual, feel free to totally ignore me; this is just my opinion;)
